Sharkoon X-Tatic SP Gaming PS3 Headset Review
This PS3 headset is the one that blew my mind. Let me begin by saying it’s compatible with pretty much everything you’d want – PS3, Xbox 360, PC, Mac – you name it. But I love the most about this PS3 Headset is the crisp sound quality. Seriously, in an FPS game, you
can just pinpoint where exactly your enemies are, with the sounds of their footsteps, gunshots, jumping, etc. It’s pretty loud too, which is a good thing because some headsets take the fun away by killing the loudness of sound!
Microphone quality won’t fail to impress you either. It’s very clear and it in fact seems better than the microphones you’d expect to see on headsets like of Turtle. Not only that, the microphone is actually flexible and detachable. Now THAT’s going to come in handy, won’t it?
I almost forgot to mention the exterior looks and build quality. To put it in three words: you’ll love it. The build quality is exceptional and the headset is very comfortable to wear. Keep them on for as long as you want and your ears won’t hurt, which is not at all the case with a typical big headset in the market.

Ear Force P11 PS3 Headset Review
These are the headsets that I’d rate as second best in our best PS3 headset category. It still doesn’t beat Sharkoon, that’s for sure, but over all these are excellent headsets when it comes to factors like weight, additional mic monitor features (which you won’t find in a lot of gaming headsets!), and so on.
To start with, the sturdy design of Ear Force P11 is a good plus. Despite it being sturdy, it’s comfortable enough. They’re pretty lightweight as well. And as you can see in the image, the aesthetic appeal is great.
But the feature I love the most about Ear Force P11 Ps3 Headset is the chat/mic monitor that I’ve mentioned already. What this essentially does is let you play the audio being sent from your end to the receiver end. Sometimes in games you need to yell because you’re not sure if the other person is hearing you fine, but with mic monitor, that problem is fixed for once and for all.
I have to admit one thing, however – I’m not as impressed by Ear Force as I am by Sharkoon, but if the features of Ear Force attract you, feel free to go with that instead because hey, this is a great quality headset that’ll meet almost all your needs.

Nox Audio PS3 Headset Review
Now we come to the last one. Nox Audio PS3 Headset costs a bit more than the first two (which is why I’m putting this one at last), but boy, does this headset work fantastic! The bundle is available for $99 on Amazon, and if you’re ready to spend that much, go with this headset. This headset’s microphone is retractable, has metal-plated cups and is quite sexy.
The interesting and unique thing about this PS3 headset is that it is very portable: it folds! Heck, you can even fit them in your pocket.
Another unique thing about this headset is the volume control. The headset’s earcup plate actually spins – it’s the volume knob. It turns 180 degrees smoothly so you can adjust the volume any time you want conveniently.
The sound quality is good enough. Techcrunch, in their ps3 headset review, mentioned referring to the sound quality, “They’re definitely skewed towards the warm and bass-y end, but that’s great for games, and I got plenty of clarity once I adjusted my EQ. “ These are also the lightest ps3 headsets you can find that deliver great quality.
Over all, I’d say these headphones are for those who want something COMPACT and very portable but still effective.
